Air conditioning repair in Santa Monica

AC repair in Santa Monica for the warm spells when the sea breeze isn't enough to keep the house cool.

Same day when you call by noon. Open 7 days, 7am to 8pm.

An air conditioner this close to the ocean can sit quiet for weeks, then run flat out through a heat wave. Even in the quiet weeks, salt in the air eats slowly at the thin metal fins on the outdoor unit. We look after heating and air all over Santa Monica, from Ocean Park to the streets north of Montana.

HVAC service in Santa Monica

Air conditioning repair

Warm air from the vents on a hot afternoon? Water pooling under the indoor unit? Either one is a reason to book an AC repair.

Air conditioning service

Book a tune-up on its own, or join the plan and get a spring visit and a fall visit every year.

Cooling a house that has none

No ducts? Mini-splits and heat pumps can cool the rooms you use in summer and heat them in winter.

Heater repair

Winters here are mild, so a heater can sit unused for months and show its fault the evening you finally switch it on. That is a job for furnace and wall heater repair.

The spring visit, this close to the ocean

On the plan, the cooling visit comes between March and May. Your technician hoses the salt off the outdoor coil and tests the capacitor, the small part that gives the motors their start. The drain line gets cleared as well, so condensation from the indoor coil has a clear path out.

The fall visit gets the heater ready before the first cold night. After each visit an email tells you what was cleaned and anything to watch, and the same technician comes back the following season.

AC questions near the beach

What does salt air do to an air conditioner?

Over the years it corrodes the fins on the outdoor unit's coil. Damaged fins pass less heat, so the system has to run longer to cool the same rooms. A rinse every spring helps keep the salt from building up.

Can a mini-split cool a whole house?

It depends on the rooms. One head can cool a living room, and more heads can be added for the bedrooms. Your technician looks at each room with you before the quote says how many heads it takes.

Is HVAC service the same as a tune-up?

Often, yes. A tune-up means a single visit to check and clean the system, and our plan books two a year, the AC in spring and the heater in fall. Anything that needs repairing gets its own price, and you decide.
